- Waterway ( Su Yolu ) : This motif is included in Anatolian carpets to symbolize the continuity of life, wisdom, and physical and spiritual purification.
- Star ( Yıldız ) : The Star motif in kilims is typically woven to symbolize happiness, productivity, and order.
- Trammel ( Bukağı ) : The trammel motif has been woven into kilims in Anatolian villages to symbolize the continuation of family unity, as well as to express wishes for peace and health within the family.
- Traditional weaving looms used a spiral mechanism. While these looms were practical, they made it difficult to monitor the weaving process. In the case of this kilim, the weaver worked very tightly toward the end, which caused undulations across the width of the rug. Additionally, once she reached the center of the kilim, she ran out of yarn. If you notice, the red yarns started to turn pink, reflecting the change in the yarn used.
- This kilim was woven in the 1980s in Uşak, a city in Turkey's Aegean Region. Due to its border motifs resembling a baklava pattern, it is also known as the "Uşak Baklavalısı." With a thickness of 4 mm and a knot density of 32 knots per square centimeter, it offers average thickness and above-average weaving density. The design stands out from its peers with the use of red on one side and pink on the other, incorporating a higher-than-usual number of colors, including the rare orange shade.
